This image was taken from a remote area of the park near Desolation Peaks, when I was on my way to climb Flatiron Mountain. Alpine sunflowers only bloom once in 20-years and then they die. I felt that the yellow sunflowers, the lichen and the rocks were a beautiful addition to the view of the Never Summer Wilderness Mountains in the distance.
