Description
April in the desert, and temperatures were expected to be in the high 90s on this day. I started the hike around Fisher Towers before the sun rose, affording me the opportunity to get this shot. The sandstone cliff in the foreground actually appears to be separate from the rest, but it is an illusion created by the rays of sun streaming down the rock as the sun hits reaches a notch in the sandstone and brings the desert to life.
