Heart Lake is located in The Indian Peaks Wilderness, in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, west of Rocky Mountain National Park. Located above timberline, and a long drive in up a very rough road, this area is a much quieter place to visit if you are willing to work for it. The Continental Divide Trail passes close to here. I took this image in the summer of 2015.
