Description
A male bighorn sheep stands on a rock in front of the Alluvial Fan Falls in Rocky Mountain National Park. I've taken many pictures of bighorn rams, but usually they are spotted in the rocks, and blend in so well that the picture doesn't do much for me. I felt honored to have the opportunity to get a shot of a pose like this and in such an amazing place. One of the things I love about the Alluvial Fan is the incredible color of the rocks, but because of their rich color, I think my waterfall shots appear too busy. In this shot, I think the balance of wildlife, water and rocks is beautiful
