Description
Long's Peak is framed by golden aspens in the fall. It took a long time to get this shot lined up. The jagged rocks were horrendous underfoot, and there were so many beetle-killed pines that had fallen over it was treacherous, many of those still standing were in the way of the shot. I scrambled around for an hour or more trying to line up this shot just perfectly.

Thanks to everyone for your kind comments. It was actually kind of tricky to get this shot at the right time of day. I had to scramble over dead fall and jagged rocks, without getting any beetle kill pine trees in it, but it was fun and well worth it.

Thanks to the buyer for this purchase. I hope you truly enjoy your piece. I actually worked at Bear Lake Ranger Station this summer,2020. If you came up to the Rocky Mountain Conservancy store window, or asked for help on trails, we may have met. Thanks to the rest of you for your thanks. 😁

Hi everyone, thank you sooooo much for all your encouraging comments. This sale is great news right now as I'm in the middle of a disaster. Yes, I live in Colorado, specifically Estes Park, and the town is a disaster zone! The place I work has been flooded badly, and deemed unsafe to enter, so I no longer have a job. Rocky Mountain National Park is CLOSED, I don't know when I'll be able to get to Bear Lake again to attempt another fall pictures like this one. Estes Park is basically cut off, and is closed to all except essential traffic. The National Guard has three check points set up along the road in, and are checking ID's. It will be some time before visitors are allowed here again, and even longer to repair things and for the economy to recover. This sale is good news for more than one reason.
